Kuali Coeus will be offline for a short period this evening (July 18th) beginning at 5:30pm, to update a data validation in development proposals for the NSF Science Code field.
Whereas the validation would previously show only as a warning in the absence of this field, it will now show an error, and is required prior to routing any development proposal. Please refer to the updated QC “Minimum Requirements for Proposal Routing”.
All proposals require selection of the NSF Science Code, even if NSF is not the sponsor of the proposal. MIT uses these codes to report statistics in the annual Higher Education Research and Development (HERD) survey. One should select the general area of research from the drop-down list in the Sponsor & Program Information section of the proposal or ask the PI of the proposal for the appropriate category.
